Pano Room of Beds Ellis Island

Mosque of Omar Jerusalem

Rehearsals!

I hope you all have a chance to make it to one of the rehearsals in the next week. Like we mentioned in class it would be beneficial to tell Kevin what part of the show it is you are working on, that way you can see what they have worked on for that point so far, as well as you wont have to stay the full three hours. I will be attending the Tuesday rehearsal for next week and hopefully will have it lined up with Kevin for them to do a rough full run through for me to film. That way in class on Thursday we can view my tape and talk about what has been done for what scenes and what still needs to be done. The whole crew is very easy going and very willing to answer questions AS WELL AS get pointers from you, so don't be afraid to ask them!

Script

DISCLAIMER!
This is not the final script, but it's what the cast has been working with the past few rehearsals.

https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B0Mop1jTSVhYaFExN0dzSXZabm8/edit?usp=sharing

use it as a tool to better understand how quickly the scenes come and go.
keep in mind these are 2 life stories massively condensed, and include a lot of information.

Here's a sample background sound for the Tomb.  Not sure exactly how they're doing the scene yet, but  go ahead and give me some feedback.

Work In Progress

im hoping to add in a still from the bow of the boat/add camera animation to make it look like they are approching Ellis Island

Door

Forgot to actually post this last week. An ominous interior. I had a wooden background, but I like the idea of the actors being surrounded by black screens.

Website

At this point we've pushed up the website with a few updates: http://digitalworlds.ufl.edu/handfulofleaves/

Our main areas left are cast & crew, which we will need a full list from the Director. We can go as far to include headshots and/or take new head shots, though I know actors often prefer to provide their existing headshots.

Trello for 2D

Please, if you are doing any work for the 2D portion of the class, I ask that you make a Trello account. Trello is a web based white board application that helps with project management. If I haven't already hunted you down in class and asked for your user name in Trello can you please post it here as a comment so I know to add you.

Thank you,

-Paul

eagle flying

This is a conceptual design about the scene of eagle flying, which completely on the basis of the description of our script. I try to add more layers on this present version.

“The scene happens at noon, and all were cast outside. Everything sleeps in a deep lethargy. But behold a small black dot appears on the horizon, at the head of the rocky cliff. It moves and grows. It  is an eagle, proudly spreading its wings, soaring with confidence and energy above everything. Its eyes are inclined upwards, towards the sun.”

“Evening approaches. The lake too;slowly it moves its red waves. Suddenly foam appears on the water and a pure white swan comes into view.”

Opening Scene

Here is the pano image of Lib West.

I have also done a test video to see what kind of resolution Adobe Premier would let me export with the 6:1 ratio that the REVE has. The resolution of the mp4 is 2120x344 and it is just under two minutes, but still it is 91 megs, so I will have bring that to class. The avi is 3 gig, which I assume is too big.
